JUMAANE SMITH
Trumpeter/Vocalist/Composer

Jazz trumpeter, vocalist, and composer Jumaane Smith has performed on 5 GRAMMY Award-winning records (selling more than 60 million copies), 2 Emmy Award-nominated TV performances, the GRAMMY Awards with Stevie Wonder, in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story (trumpet solo actor), at The White House, on the Today Show, Tonight Show, Oprah, Good Morning America, and American Idol.

 

Jumaane has spent the last 18 years touring and recording with Michael Bublé as lead trumpeter and vocalist and featured soloist, was a member of Harry Connick Jr.’s house band for the syndicated daytime TV show “Harry,” and the featured guest soloist for Jackie Evancho’s, “Songs of the Silver Screen” world tour backed by a 60-piece symphony orchestra.

 

Jumaane has toured with his own band to such world-class venues as Jazz at Lincoln Center, Vail Jazz Festival, Java Jazz Festival, Birdland Jazz Club, North Star Festival, Joe's Pub, Rochester International Jazz Festival, Catalina Island Jazz Festival, and many more.

 

Jumaane’s critically-acclaimed debut album, “I Only Have Eyes For You,” features special guests Michael Bublé, Jackie Evancho, and Naturally 7. His sophomore album, “When You’re Smiling,” was released to much praise in January 2020. His highly-anticipated third album was released by Zinn Music on August 16, 2024 and remained in the top 50 on the JazzWeek chart for 12  straight weeks and earning a 4 Star review from DownBeat Magazine, amongst much other significant critical acclaim.

​Jumaane has worked with musical legends such as Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Aretha Franklin, Christian McBride, Barbra Streisand, Alicia Keys, Kamasi Washington, Jon Batiste, Theo Croker, Etienne Charles, and many more.  As a full scholarship recipient at the Juilliard School of Music’s Jazz Studies program (2001-2005), Wynton Marsalis was Smith’s primary trumpet teacher.

NICOLE ZURAITIS
Jazz Singer-Songwriter

Nicole Zuraitis is a GRAMMY® winning and 4X GRAMMY-nominated jazz singer-songwriter, pianist and arranger, New York-based band- leader and winner of the prestigious 2021 American Traditions Vocal Competition Gold Medal. With a “heart as big as her remarkable voice,” (Jazz Police), Nicole is a trailblazing artist who is redefining vocal jazz, earning her a place as one of the top artists and "prolific songwriters" (Broadway World) to watch in jazz and beyond.

As a recording artist, Nicole has released five albums as leader, and her sixth album How Love Begins, co-produced with eight-time GRAMMY-winner Christian McBride (2023), features all original music and was awarded the GRAMMY for Best Jazz Vocal Album. In addition to leading her quartet, Nicole performed and recorded with the Birdland Big Band as premier vocalist before taking off as a large ensemble leader of her own, co-producing the Dan Pugach Big Band and guesting for major European big bands. She has headlined at Newport Jazz Festival, along with iconic NYC jazz clubs like Dizzy’s Club at Lincoln Center, Birdland, the Blue Note, the Carlyle, 54 Below and the late, great 55 Bar. She has appeared as a featured soloist with the Savannah Philharmonic, Asheville Symphony, and Macon Pops, and has supported iconic singers like Melanie, Morgan James, Darren Criss, and Livingston Taylor on piano and vocals.

Nicole is a featured artist and producer on her husband, renowned drummer, bandleader, and composer Dan Pugach’s 2025 GRAMMY-nominated album, “Bianca Reimagined: Music for Paws and Persistence” (Best Large Ensemble) for which they composed the GRAMMY-nominated song, “Little Fears” (Best Jazz Performance). Nicole's arrangement of Dolly Parton's Jolene, co-written with Dan Pugach, was nominated for a 2019 GRAMMY®, springboarding her career and making her a household name in the modern-day jazz landscape.

Nicole has collaborated with an extensive list of luminaries, including Christian McBride, David Cook, Gilad Hekselman, Veronica Swift, Benny Benack, Stephen Feifke, Cyrille Aimee, Antonio Sanchez, Dave Stryker, Omar Hakim, Rachel Z, Helen Sung, and Bernard Purdie. She is a proud educator and currently vocal faculty at NYU and SUNY Purchase.

JON REGEN
Jazz/Pop Singer-Songwriter & Pianist

Jon Regen began his career as a sideman to jazz artists like Kyle Eastwood and Little Jimmy Scott. A protégé of the legendary pianist Kenny Barron, Regen released a series of acclaimed jazz recordings (From Left to Right, Live at the Blue Note and Tel Aviv), before making a left turn into singer/songwriter territory. Nearly overnight, Regen was heralded as an important new songsmith and performer, with praise from both listeners and critics alike on albums like Almost Home, Let It Go, and Revolution. Regen also hit Number One on the Billboard Charts with his instrumental album Change Your Mind. His run of solo releases continued in 2015 with Stop Time, which featured members of Elvis Costello’s Imposters, and in 2019 with Higher Ground, which included guest appearances by icons like Andy Summers of The Police, Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Chuck Leavell of The Rolling Stones and Nick Rhodes of Duran Duran.

 

Regen’s latest album, Satisfied Mind, released in 2023 to critical acclaim, is a genre-blurring tour de force that marries a myriad of musical styles alongside a cast of legends like Ron Carter, Rob Thomas and Pino Palladino, and many others. TAMMY McCANN
Vocalist

Tammy McCann is an internationally recognized Jazz Vocalist and is currently Artist in Residence for the Music Institute of Chicago.  Her powerful, sultry, and emotionally charged voice paints pictures and tells stories by merging Classical vocal technique and Gospel esthetic with Jazz to create a sound that is completely her own. Chicago Tribune’s Arts Critic, Howard Reich says McCann has, “A voice that soars in all registers, at all tempos, on all occasions... a voice that inspires wonder!” Alyce Claerbaut, President of Strayhorn Songs Publishing, Inc. and mentor to McCann says, “Tammy is a star with a one of a kind voice.”

Tammy has performed with such luminaries as Chicago’s own Ramsey Lewis & NEA Jazz Master Von Freeman, John Clayton, Branford Marsalis, Joe Locke, Charles McPherson, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Carmen Bradford, and toured as a ‘Raelette’ with the great Ray Charles. DAN PUGACH
Drummer/Composer

Dan Pugach is a 3X GRAMMY® nominated drummer and composer, a three-time recipient of the ASCAP Foundation Jazz Composer Award, a winner of the BMI Charlie Parker Composition Prize, and a Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Residency Program participant at the Kennedy Center. His latest big band album, Bianca Reimagined: Music for Paws and Persistence, comprised of all original compositions, and featuring Nicole Zuraitis, is nominated for a 2025 GRAMMY for Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album, as well as a Best Jazz Performance nomination for “Little Fears,” a song from the same album. Dan’s nonet album, Plus One includes Dan’s arrangement of Jolene (Dolly Parton), which was nominated for a GRAMMY® Award (Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals) alongside vocalist Nicole Zuraitis. He was the featured drummer on the 2024 GRAMMY® Award winning album How Love Begins, co-produced by Nicole Zuraitis and Christian McBride.

Dan is the leader of The Dan Pugach Nonet and the Dan Pugach Big Band, playing his original music and arrangements. The Nonet and Big Band tour regularly, and have played at Bird’s Eye Basel, The Zone in Tel Aviv, The Blue Note, Birdland Jazz Club, The 55bar, Smalls Jazz Club, The Jazz Loft, The Jazz Estate, Stowe Jazz Festival, and esteemed Performing Arts Centers across the country.

Mark G. Meadows is an award-winning pianist, vocalist and composer. With jazz as his foundation, Meadows seamlessly blends R&B, Pop, Soul, and Folk to create a distinctly unique and uplifting sound and a sense of freedom among his collaborators. 

Meadows has performed alongside world-renowned artists such as Cynthia Erivo, Renee Fleming, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Bobby McFerrin, Terence Blanchard, Kurt Elling, and Warren Wolf. He has headlined at premier venues including Jazz at Lincoln Center, Blues Alley, and The Kennedy Center.
